The Wise Woman Who Refused To Be Deceived

A Lagos-based electrical engineer complained of a serious waist pain last week, and his wife suggested that they should visit their hospital along Bank Anthony Way in Ikeja, together.

On getting there, he requested to see the doctor. He was later invited into the Consulting Room by the doctor, when it was his turn.

After examining him, the doctor asked him to go and wait for his drugs at the reception room.  As soon as he left, the doctor buzzed the receptionist and asked her to allow the man’s wife to come into the Consulting room.

As the man’s wife went in and sat down on a chair, facing the doctor, the doctor looked at her in the eyes and shook his head with a frown, as a sign of things not being normal.

“What is it, doctor?” asked the sick man’s wife. “I hope all is well?”

“Not quite well, madam,” replied the doctor. “Your husband is suffering from a very severe stress disorder. Thank God you people came to the hospital on time. If you had delayed coming here, your husband would have died.

Here’s a list of the things you have to do urgently in order to help him recover quickly.

1. Make sure you prepare a very healthy breakfast for him, every morning.

2. Make sure his lunch is always nutritious.

3. His dinner must also be as nice as ever, and on time.

4. Don’t burden him with chores any longer.

5. Suspend discussing your problems with him, so that the stress would not get worse.

6. Always be nice to him.

7. And above all, make sure you make love with him several times a week for the next 10 months.

“This is exactly what he needs to recover speedily. If you fail to implement my advice, your husband might die in a few weeks’ time.”

After that brief meeting with the doctor, the woman and her husband left the hospital’s premises and drove home in their car.

While on their way home, the sick engineer turned to his wife,  and asked her: “What did you discuss with the doctor?”

“He said you’ll be fine by tomorrow and that you must avoid sex for some months.”
