Here’s the award-winning prayer of a housewife.

During the last Mother’s Day, which was celebrated by most Christians in Nigeria, a pastor of a Pentecostal Church in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, requested all the mothers in the church auditorium to pray for themselves.

“To make sure every mother here prays for herself,” said the pastor, “all the mothers in the house will have to come out here, one after the other, and pray for herself, using this microphone.”

More than sixty-seven women came out for that purpose, and each of them prayed for herself.

The prayer that prompted me to write this story was that of a woman who said:

I pray for wisdom for me to understand my husband,
Love to always forgive him, and
patience to accommodate his moods.
God, I won’t ask for strength
because if I pray for strength,
I’ll just beat him to death.

What an interesting piece, The Award-Winning Prayer Of A Housewife!
