The first edition  of this story, Some Of The Dangerous Words You Must Not Use On Your Spouse During Misunderstandings – Part 2, was published last Monday, June 3, 2019.  Have you read it?  If no, please do.  You’ll love it!

Story #2

My second story has a little resemblance with the first one. It’s about a man called Hanson and his wife, Sarah.

Misunderstandings between them were always like a soccer match between two soccer teams, who struggle to score each other side.  Whenever they quarrelled, each of them s would struggle to score a point against the other.  They seemed to have equal skills in taunting each other.

For example, whenever Sarah called Hanson an Okobo, a Yoruba word for an ‘impotent man,’ Hanson would reply her with: “An ugly and skinny woman like you.  Are you not happy that I married you with your smelly private part? If you don’t know before, know it now: all my girlfriends are more beautiful and more presentable than you.”

While Hanson usually laughed over whatever his wife said against him, that was never the case with his wife, Sarah. She was always upset with whatever her husband taunted her with, to the extent that she usually carried weapons to hit her husband first.

As their cat-and-rat life continued, Sarah threatened to deal with Hanson and to teach him a lesson of his life. Not too long after that, Sarah carried out her treat.  She hired some street boys to beat up her husband, in their own house.

While the hired boys were beating her husband, one of them gave hit him with a heavy piece of iron on his forehead, causing him to slump and die on the spot.  As soon as that happened, the murderers disappeared, leaving Sarah and the corpse of her husband behind.  While running away, one of the men left with Hanson’s expensive Android phone.

Immediately the evil men disappeared, Sarah raised an alarm, claiming that some armed men had just murdered her husband.  People gathered and assisted her to take her husband’s corpse to the morgue.

In less than six days after killing Hanson, those illiterate assassins were caught and arrested over another crime.   Unfortunately for them, one of them had the late Hanson’s cell phone on him. Upon interrogation by the police, they confessed to being responsible for the death of Hanson, under the commission of his wife, Sarah.

Following the confession of those criminals, the police went for Sarah and arrested her, too. While being interrogated, she told the police that she instructed the boys to beat her husband very well, and if possible, break his hand or leg, but not to kill him as the boys did.

Sarah, as at the day of writing this story, is still in the custody of the Nigerian prison authorities, waiting to pay the full prize of murdering her husband; execution.

Can you see what negative and critical remarks and anger causes Sarah and Hanson?

Story #3

A certain man named Donatus and his wife Adakwu, Ada, for short, were always having misunderstandings. Whenever that happened, they would end up fighting, even in the presence of their children.

While quarrelling and fighting each other, one day, Donatus hit his wife with a piece of wood, causing her to fall face-down, the same way the boastful biblical giant, Goliath, fell to the Divine power of the young David’s catapult.

As Ada slumped, their only grown-up child and son, Uchenna, raised an alarm, which attracted their neighbours and passers-by to their apartment.

“What happened?” asked some members of the crowd that gathered there.

“Let’s forget what happened first,” Donatus pleaded, “and rush this woman to the hospital.  After that, I’ll tell you what happened.”

Without much ado, the good Samaritans that gathered there assisted him to rush his wife to the hospital. She was on admission there for twenty-three full days before she was discharged.

A few days after Ada’s discharge from the hospital, Donatus invited me privately to a hotel, where he told me his story concerning his wife’s journey to the hospital.

“I want to share the story with you, so that you can publish it in any of your blogs, before some other people would begin to speculate about it.

“I’m a businessman, as you may have already known,” disclosed Donatus as he began his story. “I am an importer and distributor of women’s fashion products, including dresses, bags, shows and wrist watches.

“Ada was the first-ever girl I spoke with when I started making plans to marry and settle down. She had just completed her secondary school education by then.

“During that discussion, both of us agreed on certain issues.  For example, while she accepted to marry me, I promised to send her to the university.  And the rest is now history.

“Like a normal couple, Ada and I used to have our own doses of disagreements. What usually upset me, whenever this happened, was what she says to me.   Only few men can endure the type of insults that she pours on meon every of such occasions.

“For example, she was always fond of saying: “I made a mistake for marrying an ordinary trader like you, because you’re not my class. A day will soon come when I’ll have no other option than to pick my things in this house and leave you to die in your illiteracy.”

“He had been saying this and other unprintable things to me since we got married.  Unfortunately for her, that day,  I couldn’t hold myself.  The next thing I did soon after she stung me with those biting words of her, was to hit her with a thick piece of wood, which forced her to slump.

“Why on earth should a woman I call my wife talk to me in that ugly manner?  Is it fair?   Did she not know that I am an illiterate when she accepted to marry me, as well as accepted my offer to sponsor her university education and help her family financially?  I think she has to visit Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, for deliverance, otherwise that house would not contain both of us.

The third and the final part of this story, Some Of The Dangerous Words You Must Not Use On Your Spouse During Misunderstandings – Part 2, will be publish on this same blog, in two days time.  Watch out for it!
