How To Punish A Greedy And Cunning Girlfriend – Part 5
Jide went further to ask me: ”Do you know anybody called ‘Deka’ and I replied in the affirmative. “She’s here in our custody. Could you, please, come and see me this morning before we transfer her to Panti in Yaba. Are you coming?”
“Yes, sir, I’ll come.”
As soon as my discussion with Jide ended, I switched off my phone again. I did so for security reasons; in order to forestall being tracked by the police or other security operatives to my hotel hide-out.
After a second thought, I decided to switch it on, with a view to talking business with Jide. I took my time to explain to him all that had transpired between me and Deka and why I treated her the way I did.
Coincidentally, Jide had had a similar experience in the hands of another girl before he got married to another girl. That made him to understand me better. At the end of our discussion, he invited me to his office, to enable him advise me on how to go about the case.
I was afraid initially, to keep the appointment, for lack of trust, but after a second thought, I suddenly developed the courage to visit him in the office. I went there in the company of one of my lawyer-friends, in case of any eventuality.
Jide was a very nice guy like me, :). Fortunately for me too, his wife happened to be the younger sister of one of my most intimate friends during my years as a student of Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria.
After Jide and I had discussed, and discussed, and discussed, he took me to his boss and introduced me to him as his friend. At the end of the whole brouhaha, I offered Jide and his boss, US$300 (three hundred dollars) apiece.
That was how the case died. Though I spent some money in that process, I was happy for proving to Deka that it was where her wisdom and smartness stopped that my own started. Only God knows how and when she freed herself of that armed robbery charge.
I didn’t set my eyes on her until Saturday, January 5, 2019, when I ran into her at the premises of Shoprite in the Lekki area of Lagos. Immediately our eyes met, on that day, she took to her heels, without me pursuing her. That showed me that she had learned her lesson, though in a hard way.
There are three major lessons that any reasonable girl or woman must take away from my 5-part story.
Lesson #1: Women and girls, who know that they are not ready to date a man should also not be ready to request and accept gifts from the man.
In other words, any woman who hates a man must also hate his money and any good thing that comes from him. Failure to do so would mean that such woman deserves what I did to Deka or something worse than that.
Lesson #2: It is not good for anybody to underrate his or her neighbour. It is a dangerous thing to do. Deka erroneously saw me as a perfect gentleman who could not hurt a fly, but when I hit her like a clap of thunder, she discovered that she had underrated me.
Lesson #3: It is very important for every one of us to know that nobody has the monopoly of being funny. Anybody can be, as well as fight dirty, depending on the circumstance.
