Wonders, the say, shall never end. This best describes the story which I am about to share with you.
It is the story of how a 17-year-old boy who made love to his sister’s 16-year-old daughter through a hole on a wire fence and impregnated her. The sad news was broken to me by the girl’s own mother.
“My husband and I had a baby-boy as our first child,” said the girl’s mother as she commenced her story. Our second, third and fourth children were all boys, too.
“After the birth of our fourth boy, my husband decided that we should put a full-stop to baby-making. But because I needed a baby-girl badly, I pleaded with him for us to try our luck for the last time, and he obliged me.
“Fortunately for me, our fifth child was a baby-girl. That definitely meant that we had come to the end of our baby-making exercise.
“I did all I could to make sure that our only baby-girl became a good girl. I was closer to her than I am to her elder brothers.
“When she was growing, I usually dressed her beautifully to the admiration of anybody who saw her. This explained why many of our relations and neighbours liked carrying her about everywhere they went.
“When she became of school age, my husband and I made sure we enrolled her at one of the best private schools in town. We also employed a driver to take her to and fro her school, and to make sure she didn’t encounter any form of difficulty on her way to and fro her school.
“Just about a month ago, the unexpected happened. My daughter was confirmed to be carrying a 6-month pregnancy. I made that discovery, though late, and told my husband about it.
“The first thing we did was to find out who was responsible for her pregnancy. We did all we could, including using force, to make her disclose the identity of her lover, but she refused to talk.
“While my husband and I were thinking of a better way to interrogate her over the matter, the following day, she walked up to me and said: ‘Mummy, can we talk about my pregnancy?’ and I replied: ‘Why not!’
“I was shocked and devastated when she mentioned the name of my youngest brother as the person responsible for her pregnancy. Because of this, it took me a lot of courage to break the bad news to my husband.
“What shocked my husband and I most was how and where my daughter and my brother made the love that resulted in that pregnancy. It was an ear-tingling story, yet I have to tell it here.
“My daughter said that she and my brother usually make love together at night when other people, both in our compound and in the compound where my brother lived, must have slept. I never imagined that.
“According to her, she would stoop, after undressing herself, backing the above wire-fence that separates our house and the house where my brother lived with other boys who worked for my husband. As soon as that was done, my brother would start making love to her through her rear, from the other side of the fence.
“To make sure that they enjoyed themselves better, my brother slip his hands through the holes in the wire-fence and used them to hold my daughter’s waist in position.
“Some of my friends have been asking me to help daughter abort her pregnancy, but that can never be! Why should a Christian like me involve myself in such a stupid, dirty and sinful act? I reject it!
“The reason I made this story public is not for any other purpose, but to inform or remind other parents that there’s nothing children of these days cannot do once they are desperate or determined to have sex. Another reason is for them to be very vigilant over their children, to forestall what has just happened to my daughter.”
