Most men, across the globe, believe that their responsibility at home is only to provide the money needed to run their homes. They believe that the other responsibilities, including taking care of the children, cleaning the house, shopping and cooking are the duties of their wives.

One of such men is Gene Klein, professionally known as Gene Simmons. He’s an Israeli-American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, actor, author, and television personality.

Gene once said: “I know that you like to see a man in the kitchen, but I’m skeptical of men who cook. A man should be focusing his attention on the woman, and not what’s on the stove.”

For me, Victor O’Dyle, such belief is wrong. This informed me to write this article entitled: 3 Reasons Every Man Must Help His Wife With Chores At Home.  One of my Christian brothers, who’s on the same page with me on this issue says: “Such belief comes from the pit of hell.”

Men who think that their responsibility stops with the provision of money and not in taking part in keeping and managing the house, are myopic in their thinking. It is a dirty belief.

How Do You Know Such Men?

You can identify such men in different ways:

1. Most of them are always boastful, claiming to be the boss of the house, even when their wives are the actual breadwinners of their house?

2. They are habitual wife-beater;

3. They oftentimes have girlfriends, apart from their wives, whom they serve the way they refuse to serve their legitimate wives at home; and

4. They are always lazy, even in helping themselves with little things as washing their undies, let alone helping their wives.

Are you one of those men or is your man one of those men? In case you’re yet to marry, would you leave all the housework to your wife or how would you feel if your husband leaves all the housework to you alone?

As a man, whether you’re already married or yet to get married, there are four (4) reasons you should never leave all the work in your house to your wife alone.

Do you care for those reasons? Find them below.

1. Housework Has Never Been The Duty Of A Woman Alone

Let’s begin from the beginning. During the creation of the world and everything therein, God created Adam and offered him a free accommodation at the palatial Garden of Eden.

If you study the Bible very well, you’ll discover that God did not create Eve, Adam’s wife, on the same day that He created Adam.   True or false?  You’ll also discover that Adam was a full-fledged bachelor before Eve was created.

This, therefore, mean that Adam must have been doing all his housework alone before Eve joined him. True or false?

Again, what did God say when He wanted to create Eve for Adam? Did He not say: “It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a better helper for him”? You’ll find this in the book of Genesis, Chapter 2, verse 18 of every good Bible.

Is this not in your own Bible? If it is in your own Bible as it is in my own Bible, why then should a man, who was given a helper, now decide to shift all the work that was originally his duty to somebody who was brought in to help him? Shouldn’t it have been the other way round?
